Label of the Week: Morr Music

The beloved and well respected record label, Morr Music, is operated out of Berlin, Germany. It has built a great reputation for it's tenacious and well considered aesthetics regarding aural and visual art. Early on they released music in the IDM, laptronica and dreampop realms but it has, like every good label, expanded and embraced different styles.

Morr Music's eclectic roster includes artists like Lali Puna, múm, Sóley, Sin Fang, The Go Find, Radical Face, Sole, Electric President and so many more.

Orcas is a new duo consisting of the French hazy pop auteur Benoît Pioulard and American post-minimalist composer Rafael Anton Irisarri. Benoît has released a couple of album for the Chicago-based record label Kranky (Deerhunter, Low) and Rafael's discography includes album released for Ghostly International and T ouch.

The up and coming UK label Bomb Shop has been releasing a forward thinking electronica, field music, folky pop and no-fi punk since the label was started. This self described evolutionary arts organization is led by one James Brirchall who's also a member of Rough Fields and Ambrosia(@). Bomb Shop have released an exclusive sampler that only available on gogoyoko.

Landspítalinn is the second installment in the gogoyoko exclusive singles and video series by Prinspóló. The single features the song "Landspítalinn" (e. The National Hospital) and it's a vibrant and cheerful anthem for the institution where the major part of Iceland's population get born or spend their final living moments.

Erased Tapes Records is a London-based independent record label focusing on Cinematic Pop Music featuring a wide variety of genres and styles.

The company has been established by German-born Robert Raths since early 2007.

It’s the earnest home of neo-classical composers Ólafur Arnalds, Peter Broderick and Nils Frahm, intelligent dance music purveyor Rival Consoles, instrumental rock outfit Codes In The Clouds and yourcodenameis:milo mastermind Justin Lockey’s electronica project The British Expeditionary Force and more highly talented artists.

Record Records is a rising young record label based in Reykjavík, Iceland.

The independent music label, distributor and recording studio was established in Iceland late 2007 and it has slowly and securely been building a strong roster of artists that transcend most genres. In Record Records catalog you can hear this fervent folk pop by Of Monsters and Men and Lára, the tuneful electro pop of Bloodgroup and SYKUR, the complicated yet passionate math rock of Agent Fresco, the feverish and quirky balkan pop of Orphic Oxtra and the lovable good ole indie rock of Ensími or Mammút.

Label of the Week: Record Makers

Record Makers is a French record label established by longtime friends Marc Teissier du Cros and Stéphane Elfassi in the year 2000. The label has become known for their unique vision and their electronic take on pop, kraut rock and hip hop.

The label's first release was Air's score for Sofia Coppola's 'The Virgin Suicides', other artists on the label include Sébastien Tellier, Turzi, Kavinsky, Findlay Brown, Puro Instinct, Mr. Oizo and Hypnolove.

Touch is not just a record label in a common sense, it’s more an audio-visual entity and a multimedia publishing company. In it’s three decades history they have released bona fide artists and composers like Oren Ambarchi, Christian Fennesz, Soliman Gamil, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Phill Niblock, BJNilsen, Chris Watson and Jóhann Jóhannsson on their roster.
